Food and Beverage LIMS Features
Use a LIMS built for food and beverage testing labs. Track ingredients, run nutritional and microbiological analysis, manage shelf-life studies, and hold every result against the food safety standards you work to.

Connected Food Safety and Beverage LIMS, Built on Odoo
Lims.science runs entirely on Odoo, a powerful ERP system trusted by over 15 million users across the world.
We’ve tailored it for food and beverage testing labs, so you can manage everything from sample tracking and compliance to inventory, procurement, and reporting in one place.
- Set up test methods, detection limits, and units for nutritional values, contaminants, and shelf-life testing
- Track samples across batches, from raw materials to finished products
- Create controlled reports for authorised release under applicable ISO/IEC 17025, HACCP, FDA or national requirements
- Control user roles so analysts, QA teams, and clients only access what's relevant
- Monitor multiple product lines and facilities from one central dashboard
- Review and approve test results with attributable, time-stamped change histories for configured repeat-test and deviation events

FAQs
How does this LIMS support ISO/IEC 17025, FSSC 22000 and HACCP requirements?
Yes. Our LIMS is designed to support ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratories and can be configured around applicable FSSC 22000 and HACCP controls. It enables traceable data logging, controlled reports and configurable QA/QC rules across your workflows.
What types of food safety and beverage testing labs is this built for?
We support a wide range, including:
• Dairy and milk quality labs
• Meat, poultry, and seafood testing
• Beverage and bottled water labs
• Bakery, cereals, confectionery, and more
• Food export compliance labs
Can the system manage multi-site production and quality labs?
Absolutely. Whether you’re running a single QA lab or several across regions, our food LIMS offers:
• Role-based access for multiple sites
• Centralised or site-specific data views
• Unified SOPs and test protocols
It scales with your operations from artisanal to industrial.
Can your LIMS connect with lab instruments like pH meters, spectrometers, and moisture analysers?
Supported balances, pH meters, spectrometers, moisture analysers and other instruments can be connected through scoped interfaces. Each interface defines the source record, method binding, transfer rules, validation checks and exception handling before results enter the authorised workflow.
Can the LIMS handle food microbiology as well as chemistry?
Yes, and the two behave differently enough that the system treats them differently. A chemistry result arrives from an instrument. A microbiology result arrives when an incubation period ends, so the workflow is driven by the clock rather than by data capture. Read windows are scheduled and flagged, presumptive and confirmed counts are held separately, and media lots, control strains and sterility checks are tracked as records in their own right.
Release decisions work at lot level rather than sample level. Where a regulation such as EC 2073/2005 sets a sampling plan, the system evaluates the full set of units against n, c, m and M instead of checking each result against a single limit, so a lot with two marginal units fails or passes according to the plan you configured rather than an analyst’s reading of it.
Which test types are supported in your system?
Our LIMS supports a wide range of tests used in food and beverage labs, including:
• Nutritional analysis (fat, protein, ash, sugar)
• Shelf-life and stability tests
• Pesticide and contaminant residue testing
• Allergen, moisture, and acidity checks
Test types, matrices and parameter sets are configured during implementation and governed through authorised change control.
